Don't know how, don't know when and what for,

but these structured surfaces keep inspiring me.

I simply love the weathered look of the wood

(not being driftwood, it probably is a piece of root of a seagrape tree)

Brain coral pieces like these can be found at secluded beaches

at the east, Atlantic coast of our island. Since it is prohibited to export coral and shells,

I thought you might like to have a look at them and

get an impression how huge ánd beautiful these can be

Ik weet niet hoe, wanneer en waarvoor,

maar ik raak telkens weer geinspireerd door de textuur

van deze objecten.

Ben gewoonweg dol op het verweerde van het hout

(het is geen drijfhout, maar waarschijnlijk een stuk wortel van de zeedruifboom)

Stukken hersenkoraal zoals deze kun je vinden aan afgelegen strandjes

aan de Atlantische oostkust van ons eiland.

Omdat het verboden is om koraal en schelpen te exporteren, laat ik jullie op deze manier zien

hoe groot én mooi koraal kan zijn.
