it is hard to imagine winter, when living in a sunny country
where even in December it is possible to drink your morning coffee on a terrace near the sea...
I'm trying to combine cool, winter colours with details that warm my heart,
symbols that mean much to me,
symbols that have ingredients that I am fond of, by its shape and contrast,
symbols that make me feel happy...
combined with fragments of a Dutch text, that means so much as 'longing for'
as an artist there's always the longing to make something that touches the soul, that
speaks to the viewer
