My color, my shape

Once again the shell in combination with a picture of one of my collages, resulting in this digital collage.

I feel that this one is so in accordance with my present life, living on this island that is

surrounded by the turquoise colors of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean,

the shell shape based on the spiral, which for me is the sign of creativity and finally the text fragments, that are more clearly visible if you click the image. There is more information on spirals here

Letters are (and have been) in my life always.

My father was a typograph working with a newspaper. Of course he worked in the old fashion way, with letters of lead that had to be put on lines in wooden boxes before they could get printed. Every word, every syllable, interpunction and so on went through his hands, it is almost unimagenable with the abundance of text that is around us these days.

Maybe therefore this picture is by far my favorite!
