Black and white

Yesterday I downloaded a new app on my tablet. It is something I have wanted for a long time, but somehow I never did it, until now! Now I can finally edit the pictures I made with my tablet right away and put them online, without having to upload it via my desktop.
What  a find, you may think, since people have been doing this for 'ages' already.... I admit, I am no computer expert, but I feel proud to have figured it out myself. Today's picture shows some of my Moroccan plates in black and white, wheres in real they are blue/burgundy on a cream basis.

This day will be spent by moi with some gardening, some sunbathing (!) and hopefully finishing the collages I wrote about yesterday. Enjoy your Tuesday Wednesday!

Varnishing

My project is almost finished. Today I varnished the nine parts and then I will join them.  I love how the pieces turned out...more asap!

Cards

and more precise: cards; that is what I have been making lately

I've felt the urge to communicate in person again with people, rather than posting on Facebook. It makes perfect sense, since we now live in country where the mailsystem is reliable and it does not take ages for a letter or card to reach its destiny, to start writing again to the people I care about. Not always letters, but cards, that totally is my thing. So I found the supplies here in Spain and in combination with paper from my stash of magazines and old posters, I let the inspiration kick in and now I have a good supply of beautiful cards, imho...!

Furthermore I am working on a project consisting of nine collages all around one theme. They are in the final stage of creation, so once the work is done, I will show it here.

That was it for today. Not much, but better than nothing...

As always: thanks so much for visiting!

Little brown bag

We recently visited one of the fleamarkets of the Costa Blanca. There are many of these and I really love them...
At one of the market stalls they sold all kind of furs, parts of clothes, loose pieces of various kinds. And so I found a hood of fake fur, which resonated with me and seemed to cry out loud:
....Bag!....

So I made this little brown bag. Not that I needed it! I have more little bags than opportunities to use them, but they are very decorative as is

so here it is, my new little brown bag!

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your Sunday!

Cold in Holland

This picture is taken a few years ago, when we visited the Netherlands around this time of year.

According to the news we see and read, the view must be similar these days, as Holland is  hoping and waiting for another week of frost, and then maybe, maybe an 'Elfstedentocht', a very popular skating route along eleven cities (villages) in the northern province of Friesland.

Normally I show art related pictures at this blog, but for some reason I cannot upload pictures from my computer and this one was in my blog related Picasa album, and uploadable...

I will try to find out how to solve this problem,
thanks for visiting today!

New Year's Dive

Today we drove to Moraira, where members of our Dutch-Belgian Club participated in the traditional New Year's Dive. This seems to be a typical Dutch habit! In Scheveningen (Holland) over 10.000 of people ran into the cold North Sea today at noon. On Sint Maarten we witnessed this exactly a year ago, lots of people there also, although it is not quite so hard and difficult in the balmy Caribbean Sea.

But we were here this year, today,in Moraira, Spain...
The weather was cold, but the atmosphere was very happy and laid back. Everywhere you could see little groups of people gathered with champagne, whine, ham and all kind of delicious food, these people, whether they are from abroad or from Spain, they know how to celibrate!!!

There was Cava and soup afterwards in our club, and then as a kind of present, the sun came through and we have been sitting on the large terrace. It was wonderful, we feel so welcome here, it was a great start of what hopefully will be a very good New Year!

Bye, thanks for reading,
