Omar, before and after

On the morning before hurricane Omar passed our island, I did one of the beautiful coastal hikes.

As always, the scenery was fantastic..

Halfway the hike is this hut, made of all kind of stuff left by the sea.

Being a blogger has made me see beauty in everything, in looking at my surroundings from different angles...
At night, still nothing was happening. The wind was not even blowing, we had lots of heavy rain, there was a kind of eery atmosphere, at least so it felt to me. We had made house and yard ready for Omar, it was my first hurricane experience, I was feeling restless, so what to do: make some journal pages. Interesting, let's say that, hmmm..
This big boy almost fell on our roof, but the rock wall kept it a little. Friends and neighbours helped to remove it, we were very busy all day cleaning all the branches from the yard. Fortunately no harm to persons, house, cars! We feel so grateful for that...
